Clemson Tigers are the National Collegiate Football Champions! My wife's father and grandfather are Clemson graduates. So to say the least we are happy and proud of this great accomplishment. There are many particulars that could be highlighted about this momentous achievement; as to the sacrifices required and individual's contributions. It will take years if not decades for the commentary to be exhausted, if it ever is.
The most thrilling moment of the experience to me was the after game interview of the Clemson Head Coach, Dabo Swinney. Coach Swinney indicated that he had told his players that they were "going to win the game because of their love for one another." He went on to say that he wants them to "always remember that it is most important for the light within them to shine brighter that the light that shown upon them." Excuse me if I am in error but it seems to me that this elite coach is more concern that his players know how to live than they that win a football game. Even the National Football Championship Game. How amazing is this ?
This is a "roar" that is seldom hear in any arena. It is a "roar" that is totally disruptive to the "win at all cost mentality " of our deflate-gate society today. It is a "roar" that needs to sink deep into our cystic and souls to awaken each us to the importance of prioritizing the best for others. Roar on Coach! Roar on Clemson.
